Our Summer Bucket List

We used to make a lot of bucket lists, but haven’t done recently. Now the summer holidays are looming and I am thinking about 6 whole weeks of keeping children entertained, so I decided to make a summer bucket list for the holidays.

Tick box list

I wanted to include all the crafts and games we want to play, as well as places we’d like to visit and things we’d like to do. I am not suggesting we will manage everything on this list, but it is always nice having things written down to remind us of our ideas and goals.

That’s a big list, but lots of these activities will happen naturally in the holidays, without any thought. The children often explore these types of play by themselves without any suggesting, such as building dens, climbing trees and going on bike rides.

Some of these things were taken from Pinky and Boo’s homework over the holidays because I thought they were great ideas, while others are what the children have requested.

It’s great to have a plan, a summer bucket list in place, but with no pressure to complete it. It helps us remember the ideas we have and look forward to the fun we will have.
