Getting on with our summer bucket list

Getting on with our summer bucket list

We have been so busy enjoying our summer of fun these last few weeks, we have been pouring through our summer bucket list. I thought I’d write a quick update of how we are getting on as I like reminding myself how much we don and how much fun we have together.

  1. Visit a farm
  2. Simple science experiments – We have started these, but I want to do a few, so we still have more to do.
  3. SwimmingΒ – We have been swimming in the paddling pool, the sea, the swimming pool, almost everywhere and the kids have loved it!!!!Splashing about on the ocean
  4. Water play in the garden – We’ve had the paddling pool out, we made a waterfall wall and have been spraying each other with water.Playing with the waterfall wall

  22. Have a day trip to London
  23. Geocaching
  24. Playdoh – We made lavender play dough last week and really loved it, I can’t believe I haven’t made this before! (Post to follow)
  25. Painting – today we got the paints out for a lovely painting session together (post to follow)

So all in all I think we are doing well, 12 out of 25 of our summer bucket list crossed off, only a few weeks into it and I know we will cross more off including the farm visit next week, as we are going to have a fab week at Coombemill. We are very much looking forward to that!

In terms of our 5 summer goals, we are not doing quite as well, the bathroom is still not totally finished and I have only been out for a run once. I suppose the other goals are ok, we are spending a lot of time outside together having fun, we have finished the kids den and we are working through our bucket list.

I do like having this list to refer back to for ideas and to keep a record of what we get up to, it makes you realise just how much fun we are having!

  3. What a great list and the photos look like you’ve had alot of fun ticking things of the list. The weather helps with getting outside, especially with lots of water play and fun!

  4. Loving that beach picture Karen! Sounds like your kids are having a wonderful summer! Love this bucket list idea. I do one for every season, but never seem to do it for summer… Don’t know why not! Sould get involved! You’ve had a few super productive weeks on your #GetGoodSummer goals, so I thinks it’s OK to have a rest week (although doesn’t sound like much resting has been going on!!) Thanks for linking up!
